T-Minus 5 Talks
One of the most exciting parts of SpaceUp are the T minus 5 talks, a series of short talks in the Ignite format. Each speaker gets 5 minutes to talk, with 20 slides that rotate automatically every 15 seconds. It’s a fun format that’s more like karaoke than giving a presentation; it’s tough to keep up with your slides, but the friendly crowd cheers you on.
T-minus 5 presentations are the only activity that is prepared in advance. Remember, the format is based on Ignite. Each speaker gets 5 minutes to talk, with 20 slides that rotate automatically every 15 seconds. It’s a great way to spark ideas for the next days session grid, showcase your company or idea and amp up the excitement for current space activities. If you have an idea for a T minus 5 talk, please contact Gerry Williams at filmist@mac.com to submit your idea or send your admission.
For examples of T minus 5 and other Ignite format talks, see Andy Cochrane’s amazing talk Space Is Boring at the first SpaceUp San Diego, or Scott Berkun’s talk about how to give an Ignite talk.

60 Seconds to Land videos
If you want to take part in a SpaceUp and you can’t be there in person, SpaceUp Stuttgart had a great idea for how to contribute: Send a one-minute video of yourself to Gerry Williams at filmist@mac.com. We will show your video during the opening session. See @60secondstoland on Twitter for examples.
Hardware Alley
Hardware Alley is where we get to show off really cool space gadgets, hardware and space artifacts, such as high powered rockets and scale mock-ups, etc that you and/or your organization are able to bring for display. We’ve had all kinds of things, from satellite mock-ups, scale space plane models, actual VTOL rockets, actual rocket motors, and more! What will you you bring to inspire the others?
