Do you have to be in the aerospace industry to attend?

No, everyone is welcome.  Whether you are a student, active or retired professional, parent, enthusiast, teacher, or certified space geek, everyone is welcome to attend and participate in SpaceUp.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, children are welcome and encouraged to participate (registration may be required).  There may be special activities for children, but child care is not provided.

How can I volunteer?

Yes, if you sign up for the student/volunteer rate, you may be asked to volunteer up to three hours per day.  We want everyone to have time to participate.

What type of food will be provided?

Yes, breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are included.

Can I bring a laptop to present a video/demo?

Yes, there is one projector available for presentations, the same for the T minus 5 talks.

How do I get there?

There is parking across the street from the Student Union.  There is also a trolley stop and bus transit station just outside of the Student Union.  Detailed information will be sent to attendees prior to the event.

What if I’m from out of town?

We can work with you to arrange housing with other local attendees or nearby hotels.

Any local hotel discounts for SpaceUp attendees?

Anyone needing a hotel for the weekend should consider the Mission Valley DoubleTree because it is so close to the trolley line.  We are working on a discount.  Contact the organizers if interested.
